Notice to all contractors who bid work in State of Nevada;
This notice is to inform all signatory contractors within the California District Council of new REQUIRED Osha classes for all construction workers in the State of Nevada.
To enhance safety in the construction workplace, the 2009 Nevada Legislature enacted Assembly Bill 148 that requires workers to complete an Occupational Safety and health Administration " OSHA " 10 Hour safety course and supervisors to complete a 30 Hour OSHA Training course no later than 15 days after being hired. The completion of safety course is valid for (5) years. This Bill becomes effective January, 2010. Please see attachment!
To ensure all Ironworkers are eligible the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Facility is conducting the following OSHA 30 Hour courses; Call the Apprenticeship for class times.
Sign up sheets for OSHA 10 hr class is at hall 1110 Greg St. Sparkes, NV. Please sign up and put down phone number. Class will be scheduled when enough sign up.
